This once private 45+ acre land is lush with coastal plants, ferns, roses, dahlias, heather and more. Many plants I have never seen. The path through the gardens leads you through trees, creeks and to the coastal edge with beautiful over look views.
It is located on the west side of hwy one just south of Fort Bragg edge. A great place to spend the day wandering and planing your own gardens, relaxing, bird watching, and picnicking. Dog friendly! They have a small outdoor cafe that serves ice-cream cups to dogs, a gift shop and plants for sale.
After a quick walk through I started noticing all the humming birds. It was just full of a variety and numerous youngsters. Here is a sampling.
Used a 300 f4 with a 2xtc at high iso to get fast enough shutter speeds for hand holding. Lighting was difficult being mid afternoon.
