Yosemite a rainy affair

My brother invited me to join him and his running partners (all female way to go bro!) and their families for a week in Yosemite. It was a rainy, soggy, foggy afair. I could only stay for a few days and spent that chasing the light or lack of while they were scampering up and down the trails like gazelles in their little running shoes. My view coming in was this, it gave me hope for evening glow, which I never found .Waterfalls were happening every where this year. There was bridal veil falls, oh wait, this is just bridal veil.  Wildlife was being enjoyed upclose, and people just hanging out on cliffs.

Yes, he is on his way up. It rained hard all day before this photo, he must have either climbed in rain or waited in his bivy( his camp on ledge)

  3. Jan says:

Yeah, he spent the day and night in downpour. Had to have gotten a little damp.
He is on the wall in the last picture, that is how far away, how high, and almost to the top. Couple pitches and he will be done.
I missed a bear shot twice in one day. 😦

it was a beautiful place for sure. brutal uphills and fast downhills and the rain and fog just kept us running COOL!
I can’t wait to go back.
Thanks for coming out for a few days!

Anybody can do it, you have to work hard at it though. I think the work hard at it is fun except for the early alarm when needed!
